Beijing+30

We highlighted the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China with a conference titled “30 Years After Beijing: Gender Equality and Climate Justice in a Changing World”. The main focus subjects were Gendered Climate, Policies and Governance, Gender Based Violence, Migration and Conflicts, Women in the Economy: Progress and Backlashes.

We held the conference between the 16th of May (13.00-18.00) and the 17th of May (09.00-16.00) at Världskulturmuseet in Gothenburg. The whole conference was recorded and can be viewed on Youtube.

The conference was partly financed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency, through the project COPGENDERED – Gender and Climate Justice: Knowledge for Empowerment. The project aims to
increase knowledge about the connection between gender issues and the climate crisis.
